Kathmandu – CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli said that his party was committed to safeguarding democracy and constitution, thereby ensuring prosperity in the country.
At an event organized by UML Karnali Kathmandu Contact Committee here Sunday, former Prime Minister Oli asserted that the constitution would be torn out as done in 2017 BS if there were no UML.
Stating that new constitution was issued at the behest of UML, he urged all the cadres to spread this message among the public and work ensuring victory in the upcoming election.
Oli said, “We are ready to quit the government but we will not disregard the constitution. We ensure that the democracy remains intact. We are committed to protecting the democracy and ensuring prosperity in the country.”
On the occasion, Oli welcomed new entrants to the party.
The UML Chair will be travelling to Jhapa and Dhankuta districts to welcome new comers in the party, he shared. (RSS)
