Kathmandu, September 19 – World saint and spiritual activist Kalibaba (Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Swami Krishnananda Paramhans Baba Kalidas) has asked the government to investigate into the Gen-Z movement and take serious action against the culprits.
In a video message, Kalibaba wished the Prime Minister Sushila Karki good luck for an efficient term of office and appealed to her government to form a powerful commission to capture corrupt individuals. He emphasized that corruption should be eradicated in order to develop Nepal and appealed to the government to act decisively.
A commission should be formed to investigate the fatalities and loss of property that occurred during the Gen-Z revolt. Equally, those who have led our country into this situation must be held accountable.”
He was sure that the government, which came into existence in the vein of the Gen-Z movement and was led by former Chief Justice Karki, would succeed in conducting parliamentary elections successfully and fulfill the dreams of the Gen-Z generation as well as all citizens of Nepal.
Kalibaba also urged the new ministers and Prime Minister Karki to work patriotically, giving utmost priority to the interest of the nation, and take Nepal towards a trail of peace, harmony, and development.
Under the leadership of Mother Power, former Chief Justice, and true national servant Sushila Karki, the government will be able to re-establish peace, reinforce prosperity, unification, and integrity, and inspire the nation to progress towards becoming a progressive state in the future. By punishing the corrupt, Nepal can be recognized as a developing nation” worldwide,” he added.
Kalibaba expressed hope that under Prime Minister Karki, Nepal will be making history in peace, progress, economic development, and changes by bringing the people to confidence at the grassroots level as well as earning the trust of the international community.
Tribute to Martyrs
Kalibaba paid a sincere tribute to the youths who were martyred in the Gen-Z movement and wished quick recovery to the injured youth who were receiving treatment at various hospitals.
Sudden violence had occurred on September 8 and 9. The situation escalated as the then government decided to repress the youths. National properties were hugely destroyed. This had never happened before, not only in Nepal but even in the entire world. As a result of the wrongdoing by the then government, the country was led to crisis. A commission needs to be formed immediately to prosecute the offenders,” he said.
Kalibaba said that even though the nation was dragged into a crisis due to the last government’s irresponsibility, it was important to put the chapter behind with dignity. He emphasized that such pathetic incidents do not happen often even in world history and appealed to everyone to keep peace and harmony so that such painful episodes are not repeated in the future.
Condemning the brutal assaults on young children and innocent students in a very forceful manner, Kalibaba expressed deep remorse over the tragic occurrence. He stated that the event had created a deep wound in the global human conscience. He also expressed hope that the government led by Prime Minister Karki would reveal the truth, provide justice to the victims, and convey a robust message of rule of law and peace to the world.
Continuing his greetings, Kalibaba urged Prime Minister Karki to dedicate her four-year tenure in the service of the nation and people and in fulfilling the Nepali people’s collective desire for peace and prosperity.
