Anjan Paudel Becomes the First Nepali Lawyer in Australia’s Northern Territory

Kathmandu, December 11 : Anjan Paudel, a legal practitioner of Nepali origin, has become the first Nepali lawyer to be admitted to practice in Australia’s Northern Territory (NT). With his official registration as a lawyer in the NT, Paudel has marked a significant milestone for the Nepali community.

Paudel moved to Australia in 2015 after completing his higher education in Kathmandu. Although he initially intended to study accounting, he later pursued a degree in law and has now succeeded in becoming an inspiring legal professional for the Nepali diaspora.

Despite English being his second language, Paudel turned challenges into opportunities. Balancing work and study, he steadily advanced toward his goals. He began his professional journey as an administrative assistant, gradually progressing through dedication and hard work.

He further strengthened his legal career while working as a legal assistant at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers. After years of persistence, he has now officially become a lawyer, transforming his struggles into achievement.

“There are abundant opportunities in Australia. With confidence, self-belief, and continuous effort, one can move forward on the path to success. This is not only my achievement; it is a matter of pride for the entire Nepali community,” Paudel said.

Members of the Nepali community in the Northern Territory have warmly welcomed Paudel’s accomplishment, stating that his success serves as an inspiration for the younger generation striving abroad.
