Maoist Centre rules out interference in picking leadership in subordinate bodies

Kathmandu, Dec 18 (RSS) : The CPN (Maoist Centre) has ruled out any interference in the election of a new leadership in party’s subordinate bodies.

The statement follows criticism making the rounds within the party about ‘failure’ to pick a new leadership despite reports that legal procedures including the party election commission was followed to this effect, according to the Secretariat of the Maoist Centre Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The respective committees in choosing new leadership is independent as per party’s rules and process, said Chair Dahal’s personal secretary Ramesh Malla.

Beyond party’s focus only on its convention or general convention, the party has been abiding by party’s ideology and policies and constantly engaging in a dialogue so as to give the party a right ideology and a political direction, he said.

“Some sides whether they are known to our party system or not have made remarks about the leadership’s ‘interference’. This is wrong. The party will not engage in any such matter in the days to come,” he said.

Meanwhile, it has been urged that a name-list of party representatives taking part in party provincial conference should be submitted to party central office within December 20 after completing remaining work of the provincial conference as per party rules and norms.
