Janakpur, Feb 13 (RSS) : CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has assured that the conspiracy hatched by reactionaries to breakdown the ruling coalition will not succeed.
Prachanda, also the former Prime Minister, said so honouring the families of the martyrs at a programme organised by the Madhesi Martyrs Foundation in Janakpur on Sunday marking the 27th People’s War.
Prachanda on the occasion distributed Rs 100,000 each to the families of 40 martyrs and honoured the families who lost their near ones during the decade-long insurgency.
Claiming that dreams of reactionaries to disintegrate the current coalition would not come true ever, Prachanda announced to make the coalition further stronger. “We all should be aware about those elements not embracing the constitution, working towards fouling the local level election, breakdown the current coalition and to trouble the country’s harmony.”
Prachanda shared that the current coalition was formed to protect the constitution, implement federal democratic republic and to safeguard the nationality. “Since the coalition partners have understood the need to continue with the current coalition, the current coalition will not breakdown immediately.”
He lauded the Madhes Province Government for naming the province’s name as Madhes and formally organizing People’s War Day and said it had sent a new massage at home and abroad.
According to him, his party has decided to go among the Madhesi people to gain more energy for struggle. He reminisced that his party had spearheaded the People’s War from Madhesh.
Similarly, Province Chief of Madhes Province Harishankar Mishra called for unity among one and all for the greater good of the country and to protect the achievements gained after the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Likewise, virtually addressing the event, Chief Minister of Madhes Province Lal Babu Raut said the federal democratic republic system was brought into the country at the behest of People’s War. “Thus, our government has acknowledged it greatly. We are committed to institutionalising the achievements gained from the sacrifices of the martyrs. The province government will not remain closed-fisted to honour the families of the martyrs.”
Also, speaking at the programme, CPN (Maoist Centre) Standing Committee Member and former minister Matrika Prasad Yadav spoke of the need for CPN (Maoist Centre) to protect the achievements and to fulfill the responsibilities.
On impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR, Yadav claimed that the impeachment motion would end the anomalies prevailing the judiciary.
State-Minister for Education, Science and Technology of Madhes Province, Bodhmaya Yadav, demanded those killed during various movements including people’s war be declared martyrs.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Ramsaroj Yadav, Minister for Industry, Forest and Tourism Satrudhan Mahato, State-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communication Ruby Karna among others underscored unity among the political parties for economic growth of the country and to institutionalise the achievements gained from the people’s movement.
The programme was chaired by chairperson of Madhes Martyr Foundation and Minister for Internal Affairs and Communication Bharat Prasad Shah.
