Medical Education Commission calls for caution against misleading information



Kathmandu, Jan 23 (RSS) : The Medical Education Commission has urged one and all to remain aware and alert about negative impact of the misleading information on sensitive issue like examination.

Issuing a press statement here Sunday, the Commission clarified that the integrated entrance exam for various educational programmes for Postgraduate Level were held in an organized and disciplined manner in various four places across the country including Kathmandu Valley on January 22 and 23.

The Commission said that its attention was drawn towards the misleading news that the question papers were leaked prior to the entrance exam.

The press statement signed by member-secretary of the Commission Dr Bhojraj Sharma Kafle said that the Commission had requested the Central Investigation Bureau to carry on investigation into three candidates who were attempting to do wrongful act in the entrance exam.

Meanwhile, three phony students were held from two exam centres who were allegedly trying to take entrance exam for the original examinees.

The Commission said that another exam slated for January 24 will be held as per the schedule. It claimed the confidentiality and security of the question papers were well managed.
