PCR test fee down after Prime Minister Deuba’s direction



Kathmandu, Jan 19 (RSS) : The fee for PCR test for Corona Virus has been reduced after direction of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

PM Deuba had directed Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada and Secretary Dr Roshan Pokhrel to reduce the fee, reasoning it was high in hospitals and laboratories.

With this, government hospitals will charge only Rs 800 while the private hospitals can charge up to Rs 1500 for RT-PCR test. Earlier, it cost Rs 1,000 at government hospital and Rs 2,000 at private hospitals and laboratories.
