Gandaki, Dec 31 (RSS) : Nepali Congress (NC)’s general secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma said today’s need was to build a democratic character.
At a programme organized by the Nepali Congress (NC) Kaski on the occasion of National Reconciliation Day in Pokhara on Friday, he spoke the need of nurturing democratic culture in the current contest when democracy is already established.
‘Our behaviour should also be right when the right political system is in place in the country”, he said, underlining the need of nurturing democratic culture.
It is wrong to blame the political system of the country without dissecting one’s behaviour, he asserted, adding there are several avenues to do better from within the constitutional provisions.
He further noted the need to improve competitive political parties. He promised to focus on party’s works rather than delivering speech after being elected to the general secretary of the party.
On the occasion, assistant general secretary of the party, Jeewan Pariyar said the policy of national reconciliation was still relevant.
