Janakpur, Jan 18 (RSS) : Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yadav, has said naming Province 2 as Madhesh Province has honoured the Madhes movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a celebration programme after the Province-2 Assembly passed the name- Madhesh Province and its capital city as Janakpurdham on Monday, Chairperson Yadav viewed, “The sacrifice of Madhes people and their dream is reflected with the naming of Madhes Province. We’re happy to have this name of our province.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said it also provides impetus to take forward the advocacy of ending discrimination and exploitation. Yadav thanked the Province Assembly members, and political leaders for endorsing this name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion, Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport, Renu Kumari Yadav, also said the dispute entrenched for long on naming the province has now ended. “We are proud of Madhesh Province,” she said, adding that it has well honoured the martyrs of Madhesh movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion of the naming of province, the Madhesh Province has given public holiday today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
