Kathmandu, Dec 25 (RSS) : The ruling Nepali Congress has entrusted Prime Minister and party president Sher Bahadur Deuba with the task of providing party’s official letter to candidates from the party filing for National Assembly members in the NA election scheduled for 26 January, 2022.
The first meeting of the newly-elected party central working committee on Saturday also decided to task the NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel with going through the party registration and related process in the Election Commission as per the Constitution and the Act related to political parties for the election.
The proposal to this effect was put forth by party general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa in the meeting chaired by party president Deuba.
The meeting pledged to unitarily implement its responsibility given by history while embracing deep feelings of enthusiasm, unity and transformation exhibited from the recently held NC’s 14th General Convention.
It also thanked party’s outgoing working committee, the general convention main organising committee, the finance committee and all other committees, guests at home and from foreign countries attending the general convention for making the general convention a success.
It also thanked all security agencies, domestic and foreign media, representatives from the central election committee and party cadres and leaders and people from all walks of life for their contributions to the general convention.
Similarly, it extended thanks to the central active membership probe committee formed to investigate and renew party active membership across the country and provide new membership.
